Decaf coffee. Often synonymous with disappointment, distasteful and disliked, we made it our mission to create a decaf coffee that is very, very far from these “D” words. With all our concerted effort and ability, we achieved the impossible: a decaf coffee that is round and balanced, pleasant, has a medium body, and hints of black cherry. Perfect for that last espresso before bedtime!
To obtain the desired taste profile, we used the Colombian Supremo bean, and selected only the biggest beans available using the European Preparation sorting method. These select beans are then decaffeinated with the Swiss water process, in Germany. This process removes 99.9% of the caffeine, while retaining the majority of the flavours and oils in the coffee; this is all done without using any chemical solvents.
